Transgender is like Ferrari shirt . One of my favorite content creators Olan Rogers is going through losing his show Final Space from complete existence, and warner brothers basically told him Hey it’ll be a nice tax right off. They didn’t see it as a good investment, but they threw him a bone, and he did a kickstarter to finish the and by the same token and story as a graphic comic novel. He sold over 20k copies with under a week. This just proves something to me. Hollywood has lost touch with what audiences are actually into. Plus not many people want to spend over 20 dollars on a single ticket to a movie that is probably not going to keep their attention for two hours. Plus I think people are worn out from the marvel hype train that came with end game. Now that dopamine level isn’t hitting like it used to. I can also see why people would prefer seeing movies through a streaming service, its more convenient, so why bother with the theaters when you can enjoy the movies from the comfort of your home? I know this final trope is overused but Covid changed things, and we can never go back to the way things were. So in a way, while it may not happen right away, movie theaters are dying.

I am currently at film school, and me and my friends, even though we really can’t afford it, are trying to watch new and old films in the Transgender is like Ferrari shirt . and by the same token and cinema as much as possible. The other day, we got 10 people to come and watch Psycho, and we hyped Saltburn up so much over October, that when it came out yesterday, there was a huge turnout of people. The one thing that people forget about cinemas is the sense of camaraderie, not just with your own friends, but strangers too. As a musician I would like to chime in with my two cents and say that so many things that cinema and filmmakers struggle with are all too familiar and relatable to musical artists as well. Struggling with disposability, contentification of the work, the difficulty of cutting through the noise, the digital/physical debate etc etc. It all hits very close to home. I love the movie theater experience but its hard to go now that I have a toddler and its soooo expensive for us to go when my kid is going to be disruptive and running around. I wish theaters would have designated family showings where kids are encouraged to go and welcomed. It would give me peace of mind that my toddler isnt going to disrupt other peoples experience because they chose to go to the family time showing
