Rounding out the but I will buy this shirt and I will love this central cast of characters are Mrs. Hall, Farnon’s matriarchal housekeeper (Anna Madeley, whose gentle-yet-firm-ness inevitably calls to mind Joanne Froggatt’s Anna Bates and Phyllis Logan’s Mrs. Hughes in Downton); Tristan (Callum Woodhouse), Siegfried’s ne’er-do-well younger brother (and an aspiring vet himself); and Helen (Rachel Shenton), a local farmer woman to whom James takes a shining (and whose bull, Clive, becomes a surprising supporting player). B-storylines involve Mrs. Hall’s attempts to reconnect with her estranged son, Tristan’s attempts to pass his exams, and the love triangle between James, Helen, and Helen’s rich boyfriend, Hugh (Matthew Lewis, a.k.a. Neville Longbottom), and while none are wildly interesting, their smallness and simpleness are very much part of what makes All Creatures Great and Small such a charming (and—dare I say—random?) watch in the first place.

I purchased this to be a lightweight jacket for fall, and it is perfect for 40-50 degree weather. I wanted a 2x but the 3x was half the price so I purchased that in hopes I could shrink it. I immediately put it in the washer and dried on high heat and it definitely fits more like a 2x now, just a bit longer which I personally prefer. I wish I could get all the colors but it seems like they’re either unavailable or just not in stock in those colors. A lot of the time hoodies are shorter than I prefer so it’s always a bit of a risk purchasing one I haven’t previously, but this checks all the boxes for me. If the other colors ever become available I would love to purchase this in multiple colors.

Just my 2cents here, but these are my absolute favorite for sleeping. Along with a pair of pajama pants or shorts… they’re roomy, soft, wash well, and don’t shrink nearly as much as some brands do. I order mine a size or 2 up to be able to have that loose comfy fit. I always end up coming back to this brand- some of the other brands H. and FOTL. shrink some with every wash/dry, and tend to thin out, becoming thinner and thinner from wash and wear. This brand holds up much better. (Keeping in mind that they’re worn and washed a lot because it’s the only shirt I like sleep in).
