Ariana Grande is gearing up to release a new album within the next few weeks. The pop star made the surprising announcement on Twitter, revealing that her next album will drop in October. Based on industry standard release dates, that means it could come out Friday, October 16, 23, or 30:

Grande also teased snippets of new material:

Many fans noted that The Weeknd retweeted her announcement, possibly indicating that he’s featured on the project. The two artists worked together on 2014’s “Love Me Harder.” Grande previously confirmed that she has an unreleased song with Doja Cat, which could make its way onto the album.

The pop star’s last album of original material, thank u, next, dropped in February 2019 and became her most commercially successful release to date. She also dropped the live album, K bye for now (swt live) in December of last year, and scored a pair of No. 1 singles in 2020 alongside Justin Bieber (“Stuck with U”) and Lady Gaga (“Rain On Me”).
