Inside the Return of Disney’s ‘Phineas and Ferb’ Summer Just Got Cooler

Phineas and Ferb are back — and their mission to have the best summer ever resumes on Thursday, June 5, with two all-new episodes premiering on Disney Channel and Disney XD, and streaming the next day on Disney+.
After nearly a decade off the air, Disney’s five-time Emmy® Award-winning animated series returns with Season 5, reuniting audiences with Phineas (Vincent Martella), Ferb (David Errigo Jr.), and the rest of the beloved cast. As always, the boys are gearing up for another 104 days of unforgettable summer adventures, while their determined sister Candace (Ashley Tisdale) continues her quest to bust their wild inventions. Meanwhile, Perry the Platypus resumes his double life as Agent P, trying to foil Dr. Doofenshmirtz’s (Dan Povenmire) latest schemes to conquer the tristate area.
This latest season kicks off a two-season order totaling 40 new episodes. The creators — Dan Povenmire and Jeff “Swampy” Marsh — return at the helm, ensuring the same heart, humor, and music fans fell in love with when the show originally launched in 2008. Since then, Phineas and Ferb has evolved into one of Disney’s most successful animated franchises, spawning movies, merchandise, a theme park experience, and a cult following that spans generations.
Vincent Martella, who has voiced Phineas since the beginning, shared that the show “picks up like nothing happened” — with the same energy and emotional core. The new episodes promise familiar gags, deeper character arcs, and brand-new songs that will stick in your head all summer long.

The first 10 episodes of Season 5 will also drop on Disney+ on Friday, June 6, with more international markets rolling out later this year. Episodes will also be available via Disney Channel On Demand.
